Schools & Kindergartens

Children shape the future with their experiences. That is why educational work with schools and kindergartens is at the heart of our association.

All-day program

“Chinese Culture” at Dresden schools

With our all-day school program (GTA) “Chinese Culture” we bring Chinese language, writing and traditions directly into everyday school life. Children discover characters and calligraphy in a playful way, learn their first words and phrases, and experience Chinese festivals, games and movement arts.

We currently run the program at the 30th Primary School Dresden. For the coming school year we are looking into extending it to further Dresden schools.

Would you like this program at your school? Talk to us – we are happy to hear from interested schools, teachers and parents.

Writing & calligraphy

The brush as a first step

In the all-day program, calligraphy is often the way into Chinese writing: stroke by stroke, the children unlock a character – and with it a piece of language and of thinking. Practice sheets with a red grid give structure, while brush and ink turn writing into a calm, focused art.

What begins playfully in primary school, older pupils carry on to their first characters of their own – an activity that trains fine motor skills, patience and cultural understanding all at once.
