Events

From Chinese New Year to the Moon Festival: for more than 20 years we have celebrated the great festivals of the Chinese calendar together with Dresden. 2026 is the Year of the Horse.

Our festivals

Festivals that connect cultures

Chinese New Year

The Spring Festival is the highlight of our year. We have celebrated it publicly in Dresden since 2003 – in past years at the grand hall of Dresden City Hall and the Kulturrathaus, with music, dance, martial arts and Chinese cuisine.

Moon & Lantern Festival

Mooncakes, lanterns and music belong to the Mid-Autumn Festival: as early as 2005 we hosted an afternoon of song for the Moon Festival at the Dresden Kulturrathaus – a tradition we keep alive to this day.

Day of Saxony & more

Whether the Day of Saxony (2008 in Grimma), Chinese archery tournaments or culture evenings: we bring Chinese culture to where people come together.
